Our Bed and Breakfast,
based in our elegant Edwardian home, is
situated in the beautiful spa town of
Buxton. Within
walking distance of the town centre, opera house and rail station on a
quiet
residential road, we have ample off road parking for our guests and are
ideally
situated for access to the main routes out of town. Buxton’s location
makes it an ideal base to explore the Peak District and Derbyshire with
the
many places of interest to visit and miles of beautiful countryside to
explore.
Buxton, a picturesque spa town in the heart of Derbyshire and the Peak
District
is only twenty six miles from Manchester or thirty miles from
Sheffield.
Westlands is situated on Bishops Lane, a quiet leafy lane on the edge
of
Buxton, with the Pavillion Gardens and the Opera House a ten minute
stroll in
one direction or the edge of the Goyt valley in the other.

Take the M1 to junction 25. Take the A52 towards Derby. To
avoid the city
centre take the ring road to where the A52 leaves Derby for Ashbourne.
Continue
to Ashbourne on the A52. Take the A515 to Buxton. On arrival in Buxton
follow
the signs for Congleton / Macclesfield (A54) driving through the centre
of
Buxton. Coming out of Buxton centre you’ll be driving up St Johns road
(the Pavillion Gardens on your left and a church on your right.) Travel
up this
road for approx 0.6 of a mile and you’ll see Bishops Lane to your right
as the corner verves to the left. Turn right and we’re on the right
hand
side, third house up.
Take the M5 on to the M42 around Birmingham. Take the A38 to
Derby. Follow
signs and continue to Ashbourne on the A52. Take the A515 to Buxton. On
arrival
in Buxton follow the signs for Congleton / Macclesfield (A54) driving
through
the centre of Buxton. Coming out of Buxton centre you’ll be driving up
St
Johns road (the Pavillion Gardens on your left and a church on your
right.)
Travel up this road for approx 0.6 of a mile and you’ll see Bishops
Lane
to your right as the corner verves to the left. Turn right and we’re on
the right hand side, third house up.
Take the M1 to junction 29. Take the A619 to Chesterfield.
Continue on this
road through Chesterfield following the signs for Bakewell (A619) and
then onto
Buxton (A6.) On arrival in Buxton follow the signs for Congleton /
Macclesfield
(A54) driving through the centre of Buxton. Coming out of Buxton centre
you’ll be driving up St Johns road (the Pavillion Gardens on your left
and a church on your right.) Travel up this road for approx 0.6 of a
mile and
you’ll see Bishops Lane to your right as
the corner verves to the left.
Turn right and we’re on the right hand side, third house up.
Take the M6 to juntion 19. Take the A537 to Buxton going through Macclesfield & Knutsford. On arrival in Buxton follow the signs for Congleton / Macclesfield (A54) driving through the centre of Buxton. Coming out of Buxton centre you’ll be driving up St Johns road (the Pavillion Gardens on your left and a church on your right.) Travel up this road for approx 0.6 of a mile and you’ll see Bishops Lane to your right as the corner verves to the left. Turn right and we’re on the right hand side, third house up.
